It dont really bother me about the USB port, most ill be using is my iPod on with the FM transmitter

my brother used to have a clarion flip out deck. that was awesome

i dont need nothing real fancy, like i said most of my music will be from my ipod fm transmitter

edit; wow where did this premium member badge come from?

USB is the way to go. My Pioneer HU came with the port on the back and a cable, which is really slick so you don't have a cord hanging out of the front of your HU all the time.

I wish mine had a cable coming out of it. My input is on the front of the deck, so I have to remove my thumb drive to take the face off. I'd rather just have it plugged in all the time.......that would be a lot less wear on the USB port.

You guys must be super premium members, I have the old style banner still!

EDIT: Scratch that, mine just changed too!

if it were my truck id stick with a 6.5 2 way component set. most of what you find will be too deep as was already mentioned, so go out and get your self a couple pieces of mdf and make your self a baffle to increase the mounting depth. i personally like my cadence cwmk6 comps, there is midbass galore and the crossover has the ability to tone down the tweets a bit if you want and they are titanium dome so there is quite a bit of sybbalance if you dont. as far as the head unit pioneer is a pretty good company but there are plenty of other good hu out there and you can even find HD units relatively cheap now. i reccomend looking here http://www.sonicelectronix.com/ and i get anything there at wholesale prices because i know the owner so let me know if you find what you want and ill make the purchase for you and save you a bit.
