I was told a while ago to use just the basic copper core spark plugs on these limas. Has anyone used those e3 non gap able plugs? If so, how were they?

The e3s seem to idle rough but other than that no change in performance.

Put auto lite double platinums in

Cool. Thanks man.

e3's missed bad in the 3.0 . Motorcraft plugs purred like a kitten.

old ignition systems need old plug styles and copper is the way to go, till you go to a dis system or up grade the crap out of yours

I put a set of motorcraft platinum wire tip ( I think that's what they were called) in and they seem to be doing a little better than the coppers I normally use.

I've pretty much used Bosch +4 (funny how the 4 and $ are on the same key, eh) since I've owned my 2.3 and they are probably the best I've found...tried the platinum tips and regular plugs but they don't work as well as the Bosch...

But they are $18 for two...so much more expensive than regular plugs...
