So in a couple months I want my ranger to have a wider stance eh but I cant decide whether spacers or offset wheels would be better and how much they should be offset if anyone has had any experience with booth or know something about the two I would like to hear about it thanks :icon_cheers:

How much lift you have? If you want a wider stance and you have the room I would run 10 inch rims with the correct backspacing and run a set of or 13 or 14 inch wide tires. I saw a nice looking early Toyota extended cab 4x4 yesterday while out shopping. It had 10 inch rims and at least 13 inch width MT A/T's and it looked real sharp. The truck had a really nice stance to it with the right tire /wheel combo. If I could have gotten closer I could have taken a snap shot with my Cell phone but the traffic was moving along and could not get over enough to take the photo.

Wheel spacers are not the best idea since they put strain on the hubs and axles. I only know a few people who have run them before and they had some issues including having to replace a set of hub, but they like the look of their truck and still run them.

Offset wheels and spacers put the same strain on the hub. The leverage works out the same because the center of the wheel is still in the same location and loads the wheel bearing accordingly.

Be forwarned, those unit bearings are not cheap.

I say about 1.5 inch off set rims spacers put more stress on the gun then the off set wheels

i've got 31x12.5 on 10 inch rims. it gives my front a WIDE stance look. I also had to put fender flares on to cover my tires. I hate the look of tires that aren't covered by fenders.
