anybody making these as replacements? i know i can get duff's for like $250 but i was hoping theres cheaper ones out there. not to mention that my bilsteins wont bolt up to duff's buckets.

Use 79 bronco buckets from ford or broncograveyard, and use f250 shock towers. Not sure about how the holes of u the buckets line up with the holes in the frame but u can always drill new ones. Then use a bronco upper spring retainer

Really the only RBV aftermarket buckets offered are James Duffs (they do both RBV coils and EB coils).

Other than that you will have to get some early bronco buckets and f250 shock towers (these won't bolt up to your current shocks either).

The beauty of JD buckets is that if you ever wanted to swap to EB coils you can (for a flexy TTB setup, or SAS). And they have provisions to run either a single or double shock setup.

Either way plan on ditching your current shocks....you will need different length ones anyway, the ones you have most likely won't be long enough with the JD buckets, or some other EB ones with the f250 towers. Or look into the stem to eyelet/loop conversion bracket you can buy (i think its made by JKS and offered here on TRSFabandOffroad).

well i really only need one side, and i dont have a ton of cash to throw at the truck. i can get the one i need from ford, list price $133 but a good friend of mine can hook me up. and i'll be able to reuse my shocks, and not have to have it aligned again.... while i wouldnt mind an upgrade, it's gonna end up being way cheaper getting the replacement part from ford. i was just hoping that there was someone else stamping these parts by now. dorman makes spring hangers and shackles, why not coil buckets?

Well shit, before I let you pay $133 for a plain old bucket I'd go to the JY and get one for you and ship it to ya for less than $50. Heck I can even sandblast and POR15 it for ya if rust is a problem.

I gotta say though, my JD buckets will still be around when the rest of my truck is long gone.

im not paying that much, thats list. ill get it @ cost, and i'll have it tomorrow. just in time for the weekend. thanks though.
