Source for Quarter Glass?

A step ladder tried to break into my Ranger and broke the passenger side quarter glass. This is the ventable glass, not the fixed glass. The local dealer says it is a discontinued part. I looked on ebay and couldn't find one that is ventable (it's hinged). I have a call out to the local salvage yard.

Are there other sources? Are there alternatives to glass? (A piece of plywood is a bit redneck and my HOA will send me a nastygram if they see it)

try safelite auto glass, they seem to be everywhere, or some other shop that sells windsheilds. i know they can get em. hope this helps

I tried the local Safelite on my way home from work today. No joy. It sounded like they would have just ordered it from the dealer anyhow. And they wanted $80 to install it!! I have to wonder if they were going to install the entire assembly with seals, latch and hinges.

Can a non-opening window be put into an opening that was for a ventable window?
