Hi - Happy Holidays
I have a 93 ranger Ext cab with a JBL premium stereo, OEM just coming out. 4 speakers (5x7)... Putting in 2 6.5 and 2 7x9 sony speakers with an inexpensive Sony radio.
Got a wiring harness for the truck and splicing that to the Sony plug.
1 square connectoroff the truck is for the speakers, these line up.
the other truck plug is a gray connector and has more wires than is left on the Sony.
The sony only has power (red), ground (blk), and yellow (memory).. (also blue for power ant.. not using this)
The new wiring harness with the gray plug has 5 more cables,
1 - amp on
2 - amp ground
3 - Illumination
4 - dimmer
5 - blue power ant.. (this not an issue)
Problem:
If I cable the speakers to the radio DIRECT, they work, if I use the truck cabling, they dont. Seems like I need to do something with the 2 amp wires??????????
