So, I bought a ranger. Gotta fix some stuff, no biggie. Got my friend helping since Doc said no wrenching till the hand heals. Everything on this truck is fubar. It's been in so many wrecks, I couldn't tell you if the frame is good any more. It has body panels from god only knows how many trucks on it, and enough conveyor belt chunks that I could build a cashier station at Wal-mart.
The bolts are stripped, and the ones that arent either break heads, or break wrenches.

Sorry....Rant over. This is what I get for buying a truck at 9pm during a snowstorm......

Did you do something awful that you are trying to punish yourself or are you testing your abilities and patience?

I wonder if that was why I bought my first Ranger...took me five years to finally get it sorted out then the firewall self destructed...

man, i wish i could find me a stripped out ranger shell for a project, im sure someone will still want it if u dont, but not for what u paid for..

Bought it for a grand and drove it home. The 4.0 runs great, plenty of power. It's an stx, ex cab, 4 wheel drive and a 5 speed. They are going for 3k-4k up here, so I got a good deal. The title is clear, not a salvage title, so I aint complaining.

You got that right...there's a nice 96 w/ 4wd out for 1650 ( same combo you got..but it's an ext cab)

I might be going down past Cleveland just to get a 98 4x4 for 600 bucks. ( blown motor )Rangers are too damn expensive up here!
