I was cruising back to the farm in the semi when my radio station went out (94.1)

Then about a mile up the road i start hearing GPS directions coming through my radio. My radio does not have GPS.

Im assuming it was the town and country infront of me, they turned south and the station came back.

Anyone ever experience this? I would think it would have to be some sort of serious malfuntion in the vans electronics to broadcast over a very stout FM station clear as a bell.

I’ve had a FM modulator in the car next to me step on a station once before… and hats probably what happened to you.

Never had it happen on FM thats why i was like wtf.

I know AM gets knocked around easy but never had it happen on FM

Just another way for regular people to irritate truckers.

I was in the semi....so you wasted a 2.9 dig

Yeah, I’ve given up listening to regular radio stations. Around here I’ve had a number of those encounters. Someone with a cheap FM modulator to stream their phone to their car radio and a lot of them are apparently powerful enough to stomp out any radio signal that they are set on for about a 1 mile radius. All of my radios take an SD card or USB that I have a few hours of music on or I Bluetooth my phone in. Usually I don’t Bluetooth though because I hate the times the phone rings.

One thing I noticed, the word of aliexpress being so cheap has gotten out. and I-me-myself look for things like FCC and CE and UL certifications on listings there are a lot of sellers on ali who pawn off stuff that doesn't. Couple that with the fact the next generation wants every techno-gizmo and you end up with stuff like the "apple play" adapter from ali (that leaks rf interference like a sieve) being on the road.

And there's a lot of sellers on there that do list certifications like that, but it's a load of crap. They can put what ever they want on a listing and there's no way to enforce it.

Don't get me wrong, I like Ali and Temu for really cheap stuff that I don't care about being really cheap. People can say buy american all they like, but if america doesn;t make what I'm looking for it's kind of hard to do. When the particular item is available made american it's many times the price for an illusion of improved quality. Wire holder pliers on temu for $4, same thing american made $44. Yes, the guy on Amazon is selling them for $14, but he probably bought a pallet full from the Temu supplier for $2 each and is reselling them at a 700% markup. Are the $44 pliers a better quality, probably and if I made money with them I'd probably spend it, but I just need a handy tool thats used a few times a year for hobbies.

I'll get off my soap box now. Just saying that even if the one on the chinese site claims to have the certs, that doesn't mean that it actually does. I'll still buy their cheap junk to play with.

There’s so much crap out there, the advertising doesn’t mean anything. I bought what was supposed to be JBL speakers. What arrived was in a shrink wrapped JBL box, but the fakes inside weren’t even close to convincing. When I complained, they refunded me and didn’t even ask them back.

Amazon, EBay, Ali, Temu, Wish… even half the big box stores have all the same stuff essentially anymore. Precious little is made in the USA. Some things I insist on USA made, sometimes it’s a matter of what you can get.

Junk with old American brand names that everyone recognizes as legitimate brand quality and then you get hit with the "poor quality bomb". China junk. That meets no quality standards. Thank you big corporate american business for selling me out...made of junk chinazinium that turns back to a liquid in 2 years. There ought to be a law.
