Somebody's Jealous

Hmm lets see, a 1/2 ton prerunner based truck vs. a 3/4 ton truck, how are you even suppose to compare that? Why doesnt GMC compare that truck to the Ram Powerwagon, because it will loose haha. Come on Ford took the leap of creating the first production race proven truck, and succeeded. So others are going to try to follow but will fall short because the government stop giving them money ;)
What does a Chevy and a tampon have in common? They both come with a tow rope haha in all honesty any truck could be bad ass with mods on it but straight off the show room floor i will take the Raptor any damn day over that shit.

well, thats autoguides opinion.

i personally think that truck is awesome looking.

but we have to understand one thing solidly here, the raptor is its own vehicle....IT IS NOT SIMPLY A 150 WITH BOLTONS and that is a very large distinction.....that and i would venture a guess, that truck that is in the artical that gm has... if ever produced.... would push the deep 50 grand for cost...

and raptor owners are far from wimps around these parts....

i pulled three of the raptors out of trouble last hunting season and seen one running with sleds on houghton lake being PILOTED by an older gal.

so they have some sort of mojo affecting those that can afford to be behind the wheel....

GM should know what Ford is an acronym for.......

Found Off Road Dominating.

Sigged!

On another note, I'll admit my bronco got pulled out by a chevy, and that I have pulled that same chevy out with my explorer... Does it matter any more than personal preference at that point? Since autoguide believes we can add apples and oranges, I have but one question: How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a bowling shoe?

Let's not forget Chevy doesn't have an engine, and they don't have a transmission. The engine is an Isuzu, the trans is an Allison. Same with Dodge, the engine they use is a Cummins....Ford is the only one that uses a Ford Engine and a Ford transmission...Not to mention as stated above, that Ford was smarter than taking a handout. They decided we will sell Jaguar and Mazda, drop the Mercury line, and survive without a handout or layoffs...

Don't forget up until a couple years ago Ford farmed out their diesel work to Navistar. If they hadn't had the 6.0 fiasco they would probably still be putting Navistar engines in their trucks.

Ford also took out a huge loan on everything they have down to the blue oval. Since that has yet to be paid off, they are by no means out of the woods yet.

Ford had money sat aside that they was using. So they took a loan out on them selfs. Just like me or you cashing out on or 401K, it won't get paid back but it'll keep gaining back money.

I thought it was built by International?? :icon_confused:

It was the 6.4L that Ford had discrepancies with International, and in 2010 Ford built the 6.7L and resolved the problem...

International/Navistar are the same thing.

No, it was who is going pay for the still growing mountain of warrenty claims on the 6.0. The 6.4's biggest problem is breaking radiators... and I don't think you can blame that on the engine.

Things came to a head during the 6.4L days, but it was the 6.0 at the root of them.
