$$$ for sure.

good machine though. Thanks guys

yes its a MIG. I just upgraded from my Hobart. the ajustability on the Millers are second to none.

my buddy has a mig with no tank. its flux core i dont like it very much..

MIG isnt the type of welder, its the welding process. A wirefeed with flux cored is just ARC welding. MIG is the process of using C25 shielding gas and MAG is the process of using straight Co2 for shielding gas (in a nutshell).

it has the option for gas he just has flux core wire in with no tank. i dunno if that means anything

Thats a nice machine for sure mm210?...welders are pricey but for the amount of $ you save doing all your own fab work its WELL worth it. To me building trucks is just as fun as wheeling the piss out of them, just gotta have the tools. Im going to have a friend run a 220 line to my garage so I can use a bigger welder.

No, its the new MM140AS. I couldnt get a 220line in my house so I had to go 120. I was going to get a Lincoln or Hobart but then after really thinking about it and looking around decided the extra money for the better Miller was worth it. I am running straight Co2 for the gas and its a little different to weld with than Argon/Co2 mix, it spatters more and collects some slag in the tip (easily falls out) but I noticed it burns significantly hotter. I was able to lay a bead on a 1/4" coupon and it turned the backside glowing red on a single pass, and adequete penetration on 5/16 so I think I made the right choice. My old 120 machine wouldnt get close to doing that. Infact it wasnt good for anything over about an 1/8" so I was always using the Auto skills centers MM211 on post. Now I can fab everything at home.

also bought this.

Auto-Darkening hood.
