So got a question is it better to get a refurbished motor or to get my old motor rebuilt, im not sure if my motor can be rebuilt, it had a bad knocking sound when ever the RPMs got up and then it just went out, it rolled til i stopped it then right after it wouldnt even turn over sounded like a dead battery but i just didnt know if it can be rebuilt is there and easy way of actually figuring out if it can be rebuilt or not...?

your best bet about what the condition of that engine is, is to remove it and tear it down. kinda seems like it might of spun a bearing and locked it up. try pricing it out to see if it would be more practicle to rebuild it vs. buying another. saying it did spin a bearing, you would have to get the crank ground down and get undersize bearings.

Best price ive found so far is at a company Ever Drive they price refurbished motors for 1295.00 so ill prolly go that route becuz its my everyday use truck so tearing down and grinding i dont have time for, SUCKS
