little old lady. didn't even come in for a brake problem but i noticed it through the wheel spokes. if it looks a little off center.. thats because the center hub of the rotor is ground off and it is now 2 pieces

wow...people never cease to amaze me

Let me guess she said it has been making a funny noise for a couple weeks now. he he

Seen that before, BUT the pad and backing was gone and the caliper piston was wearing into the fins of the disc.

Customer was just in for a regular service and we noticed it. Just plain scary....

I've seen that once or twice too.

I've also heard of people letting them go that long on purpose just to take it to a particular guy and have him fix it, just so he could get the time.

we had the hub come off the disc beating it off a toyota once , that was fun

I have heard about this before dam lucky to not vear off the road

I had a guy come into my uncles shop complaining that his truck had a "slight" wobble at highway speeds, when we put it up on the lift the right side upper and lower a arms were broke almost in half! looking at the cracks in the arms they had been there a while!

nope, she came in to get the transmission checked, it was slipping. she said she never noticed any noise, but that the brakes weren't working as good as they used to. wow...

Got any more pics of it apart? I love looking at broken stuff, as long as it's not mine.
:haha:

i'll get some when it gets taken apart, if it comes back to get fixed of course..

They actually left with the brakes in that condition?

we usually don't let people leave in that condition so they might have parked it in the lot and gave her a ride home. i don't know cause i was stuck working on a chevy motorhome..
