alright so ive been re building my 92 ranger an when i put the motor in it i bleed the cooling system an all my gauges work, made sure it was getting up to temp an droping when t stated opened all that stuff, the oil pressure gauge worked.
but i had to pull the dash out an when i re connected the gauge cluster i noticed that the gas gauge stopped working like the needle drop so it was hanging down below the markings, an once i got the 10 permit to drive it i notice that once the truck starts only my volt gauge speedo an tech work the water temp just stays at C an the oil pressure stays at H they never move at all even on start up? what could that be?
i think the easiest thing to do would be get some new mechanical gauges. i have some in my DD mazda that work well an display volt, water temp, an oil pressure. but i just cant figure out the gas gauge? cuz i have no idea how much gas was in it so every time i left the house i put about 5 - 10L in an kept a jerry can in the box.
