Fuel pump doesn't start. Schrader valve shows no pressure. I just replaced relay. Fuses r fine.Brand new fuel pump and filter. Inertia (fuel cutoff switch) is fine. Relay shows 12.4v with multimeter, inertia has 6.8v, and fuel pump has 6.8v. Not sure where the faulty wire is or what exactly l'm doing wrong. Its a 94 ranger 2.3L 145k.

Let me know if you need anymore details. Most likely a bad ground but don't know the least bit when it comes to electrical. Pictures would really help or at least a good description. :icon_thumby:

Another thing, make sure you got gas, lol.

ok, run a jumper from the relay to the interia. i think your bad wire is between the 2 of them. shouldnt be a ground problem, possibly a badly corroded wire.

Could be a bad pump. Just because it's new doesn't meen it couldn't be bad. Pull the bed and run a jumper wire straight to the pump. If it works start working your way forward.

try checking the pcm fuse i think a 30 amp one in the engine bay that was the problem with my ranger everything worked cept fuel pump becase of that one fuse
