what are some options on front axles that are roughly the same width as a ranger 35 and still have manual hubs

a d30 w/ hub conversion ----pricey
d44 narrowed. won't be exact but will be the closest you can find.

check out waggy 44's and EB 44's and widths of narrowed 44's

For my sas i used a 79 f150 dana 44, and i narrowed it by 5". it makes it about 2" wider then the dana 35. So if you wanted a perfect fit, narrow it like 6 or 7.

Narrowing an axle sounds scary but it is actually pretty easy :) use this as a guide

If you didnt want to narrow an axle, use a dana 44 of an old classic bronco! they are pretty close to the width of your dana 35. The only problem is they are a little harder to get your hands on, that is why i used a full width and narrowed it.
good luck!
