Has anyone swapped a SOHC 5 speed in place of an OHV 5 speed? The research I have done says all of the bolt holes line up except for one. Is it possible to run the later model tranny in an older Ranger? I have found a 5 speed from a wrecked 2002 Ranger with 60,000 miles and I want to put in my 1995 Ranger with a worn out 245,000 mile tranny. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

look for a build thread by -Nathan- he did it and done a good write about it. the only thing is if u got a manual 1354 tcase it wont work unless u build some kind of bracket for ur shifter to bolt to as the m4od-hd doesn't have the bolt holes for the shifter. but if u got a 1354e u are good to go
