Softer Springs

So I don't remember who made the 4" lift I installed on my Bronco II, but the orange coils and the blocks plus add-a-leaf is stiffer than I'd like. I have to do some frame work, so I figure I'll change springs at the same time. I've been looking at what's on ebay and was wondering what my best choice is. Any help from experience would be appreciated.

I just got my Chevys installed tonight, ill see if they improve the on road ride any in a couple days. Its a pretty simple swap and probably the most cost effective

He is referring to a common swap yotas and RBV's do: converting to chevy 63" leaf springs over the rear axle is supposed to give better flex and road ride.

Skyjacker's springs might do well for you. Some of their RBV coils are about 10-20% softer than most other lift coils. Getting rid of the add-a-leafs for lifted leaf springs should help out back.
It's quite a bit more work to put the 63" Chevy springs on a BII than on a Ranger though (heavy modification to a body mount bracket is needed) though it's been done before.

You might also consider getting different shocks too (Bilstein shocks are well regarded by most).

i'm not, i priced them out online for a set because my rears (bilstens) are too short

I want coils and leafs. I have James Duff shocks on it now, singles in the rear and dual in front. So Skyjacker seems to be good stuff...?

some of the heavier XJ coils would work nice in the front get some that are rated 275-300PPI

Yes Skyjacker uses springs that are softer than other lift kit manufacturers.
