Pics Of The Crash As Requested!!

Yeah its pretty much like that, i flipped my pride and joy...my 1995 Ford Ranger is currently in a body shop right now being fixed. It all started out on Mon. Night, i was driving home at 12:30 in the morning and i was on an icy road and ended up slipping on some black ice around a gradual bend in the road. The Truck slid sideways ans then back around and i ended up going down the road backwards. Then it kicked up onto a high curb, and tipped over, on he driver side.Wierditwasslowthe driver window broke but no other glass broke except the driver side mirror. The local towing company (BOSCOS) came and got the truck up off its side and back on the road. The driver door is pretty bad, and the driverside fender, the side of the bed is all scratched and one dent near the fuel door. Its getting fixed soon, the body shop has to do an estimate. (gotta pay for it out of my pocket) I'd do it myself but im not an autobody kind of person.
Also, i forgot to mention i was with my brother-in-law and no one was hurt at all in anykind of way, i was a little shooken, being my first accident and all.
I just thought id share. :black_eye:

That sucks, sorry to hear it.

I am sure it will all be fixed, the good thing is no one was hurt.

I have been in 3 accidents so far. After this many you tend to not even break a sweat after one. It just kinda like, "uh that sucks" and keep going.

That sucks that you got into an accident but it's good you're alright man. Hope you get your truck back soon.

yeah ive been there....twice. it went on the drivers side both times, the first i put a whole cab on it. the second i just did a windshield and a door. if you didnt break the windshield, you did good, my a-pillar moved both times, enough to break the glass. no damage to the engine, i actually pulled it when i junked the truck and the drivetrain is in my DD

Lucky you and your truck are ok. I rolled mine my pride and joy a few weeks ago, under pretty close conditions. Except I moved over to the sholder and hit black ice because a semi truck was coming head on toward me. To bad for me I took a 50 foot ditch and landed on my roof after taking out about 20-30 trees. Lucky for you your truck is repairable, mine is going to be the queen of the scrap pile, if it hasn't been turned already. Like you, I walked away, Good to hear you're alright.

yeah it is surprising how slow moments like that seem. adraline does funny things. i am glad that you are all right.

you know, if you didnt bend up the cab at all and could get away with throwing a door on it, new fender, learning how to pull dents and do some bondo and just pay for paint. good learning experiance. agian, i am glad your ok.

i have 3 pics on my girlfriends camera, i just have to borrow her camera and her software to put it on my computer. Ill have the pics on here by tonight probably..... if not then by Friday.

dont worry, youll all see it.

Wow, that doesn't look too bad... Id replace the fender, door, and corner light and call it good.

you got f'in lucky. thats not bad at all. mine were worse both times and the 2nd one i didnt think was bad at all.

throw a new window in and climb over the seat to get in and its good! i cant tell if its a 4x4 but if it is i would of just designated it trail worthy and its life would of gotten really shitty along with shortened greatly.

wow that is an excellent opportunity to learn a little body work. that is actually pretty light damage. as you said, it went over slow. the only other thing that i would recommend would be to get the frame checked out proffesionally and have an alighnment done. how long was it on its side for? was it like a half hour or hour till the tow truck came or was it less than 10 minutes? i ask these while thinking about what the fluids did when it was on its side. change all of them anyway. have you tried starting it yet?
