hi guys, well some of u know that i drive a 99 Ranger(duh), well mi truck was totalled, and has a salvage title. its an imported truck from the states, its very common over here to purchase those vehicles, fix em and sell, that way we keep prices down so everyone can afford a newer ride.
long story short i found on my truck's papers(title, customs receipt, taxes) some insurance documents about the owner it had in the states, o i got his full name and his address. all i can say for now is that my truck came from Kansas city, had a dealer badge(which i removed, didnt liked it, but still have the rear mudflap covers) that said: olathe ford, so, i was wondering...
can anyone be so kind to send a letter to the prev owner?, just to tell him where his truck lives now, and send him my e-mail so i can ask some things about the truck, im a bit curious too hear what were his experiences with it.
if anyone is willing to help me send me a pm and ill send the info.
thanks in advance :icon_thumby:

yeah, my truck has salvage title, got damaged on he driver's door and cab, seems like it wasnt that much of damage:dunno: the fix they made isnt the great tho, im gonna have it redone someday

Unfortunately it doesnt take much to total old-ish rangers. I got a dent in the passenger side of my bed, and that totaled mine several years ago.

There are a couple (or used to be anyway) people on TRS that are in the KC Metro area, hopefully one of them will be willing to help you out.

Why can you not send mail from honduras? If its just a letter there should be no security issues to hold it up. Just dont add the white powder LOL.

Yeah my '96 Ranger was rearended back in early 2006 and the only damage was the bumper being pushed under the bed (while tearing into the bottom of the bed). The insurance company wanted to total it but my dad told them to come out and how good condition it was in (only had around 50,000 miles or less at the time I think) and they fixed it for us. :yahoo:

Sucks that your Ranger was totalled man.

no!!! my truck isnt totalled!! it lives !!! what i meant is that it got damage on the drivers door so the insurance in the states over there where u live!! totaled it and sold it on auction, that way it ended down here in honduras, here the truck got fixed and thats how i purchased it, what i was trying to do is make contact with the owner the truck had back in the states

So you are stil using it then as you say you are going to get it redone? Ima lil worried the 98-00 Ranger crew around here is going to get even smaller...

dang i made a confusion here!! yeah the truck si fine, what i meant is that im planing to take it to a shop to repaint the door, cuz the guys that sold me the truck did a nasty job, the paint on the fixed door doesnt shine.

OH so you didn't total it, it was totalled before you bought it. Whew I was worried there for a sec RSH!

yeah it was totaled in the usa before i got it, i did a complete inspection, and for my lil experience seems like the damage wasnt that big, even the door, from the inside looks pretty neat, but still they managed to do one ugly repair, seems like they didnt care for quality since it was just a regular truck to them.
the truck is fine dont worry:icon_thumby:

Alright, at least it gives you a reason to treat the Ranger to some nice paint. Just like my vacuum hubs going gave me a reason to get manual. Sometimes damage is for the best lol!

sure does!! my front bumper si dented/crooked so i plan on gettin the ranger edge to replace it :D
