So I was thinking...

I think this sounds dangerous. People thinking, asking other people to think.

You know what happens when we get to thinking...

Pretty sweet looking tires there. Should go through just about everything and her sister.

NO!!! And, NO!!! And more, NO!!!!! I would not take them for free unless I was just a fool who only mud raced!!! These are not for a dd truck. Get some real tires that can go anywhere...KO BFG tires are great....MT AT tires are super great...check out Tire Rack and see what they have for your 16 inch rims.

Those are retreads correct? As another option, check out treadwright tires. They are cheaper than that yet, and have something very similar they can put in called Kedge grip I think. There are some members on here that use them and absolutely love them

They got 4.5 stars for street use, i dont think it sounds too bad, they say youll get about 45k miles out of them, so figure abour 40k real world. But offroad I bet they are awesome. Go for it. Have you found anybody online who has used them before? Or maybe a youtube video of them?

Sounds like you better make a friend over there if you have to deal with any issues. problems gettin ahold of people and such, but it also sounds hit or miss. Either they will do you good or they wont. No in between.

Who rated them as a 4.5 stars?? The owners daughter?? Several mags I read say they are not the best for a dd...mud, yes...but not good for the street as they will wear real fast...look at the lugs on them.

they look really nice, but like the cat said, they might not last too long in pavement

Just go with the actual name brand set. I have a set of Yokohama Geolander M/T + that I had on my ranger and now they are on my X. They have worn nicely except the problem is you will only be able to rotate them front to rear only, no criss cross. They do great on the highway in the mud and in the sand. As they wear they do make a little noise as does any mud tire you will purchase.

Yes, thase mudders are noisy as hell, even worse as they get about a year older. I hear them all the time when I am on the highway and see the Jeeps and trucks who are running them. You can hear them first before you see the truck...lol

I have looked at those a few times. One bad thing is availability because they cant find good casings to work with in larger sizes so I would get five tires, that would suck to destroy one and have to wait 2 months to get a new one.

As long as your alignment is good you will get a good mileage out of the geolanders. I am approaching the 60K mark with mine. As a recommendation get an A/T for the spare so you wont have to worry about the directional aspect if you were to get a flat.
