So I was fixing a focus....

So I was helping my buddy fix his focus, we went to the junkyard, got a door, full size spare, a headlight bezel, a taillight bezel and some odds and ends.

It looked like this when we were done:

I did the electrical and he installed the door.

Well, we did this a couple hours later:

We bent a swing arm and a tie-rod. (no other damage)

Here is the catch, its 2 miles from my house on a dirt road, and the wheel was pushed so far back we cant put a donut tire on to move it, so we need a dolly. Heres the other catch, they are closed till monday, we have to go to the junkyard again, and the vehicle still needs a new gas tank.

Jason and I were zooming around and he hit a curb cause he was going a tad fast. I did say slow down though. (didnt listen), needless to say, after this, he said hes going to slow down

tomorrow we are getting a car dolly to move it and probably end up replacing the tie rod and swing arm later on (in a few weeks).


There is a bit of irony though, earlier that day we stopped on the side of the road to a car next to Route 6 between Mansfield and Wellsboro and helped a couple of people passing through coming from geisinger after surgery, aparently hes a marine veterine and he lost his trigger finger (I observed that, never asked), anywho. I found out they had a bad wheel hub and we drove them to a rollback service and helped them get their truck in order. We ran into them after we were done swimming, at pizza hut, they got their truck fixed at that garage for $400 and were back on the road. I was kind of uneasy that they gave us $10 for helping, I have a hard time being given money.

ehehehehehheheheheh, ive had my "HEY GUYS, WATCH THIS" moments too. So far its worked out, ive only ran over 1 tree, and it was an accident... thats how i learned my lesson tho.. Mabey im finaly growing up now,,,
