So, I was bullied by a Prius last night...

I was enjoying a nice, peaceful cruise home after a particularly hard shift at work when a Prius driver decided that he didn't like me for some reason. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact I was driving my '66 F100 (probably). After putting up with jerk for a few miles, I decided enough was enough and stepped on the gas. He was being persistent and becoming dangerous. Tell ya what, that 390 is relatively tamed at cruise, but when it's stepped on, the thing roars (2.5" duals, flowmaster 40's). Needless to say, I didn't have to worry about Mr. Prius again and I'm sure he became even more upset. :D Sure speeding away from a Prius isn't difficult, I even think my Ranger with a 2.8 could do it, it was just funny!

Here's a pic of the truck:

Sweet truck! :headbang:

Out of character for the usual Prius crowd. Guess he was jealous, well probably not. You can't be a car guy and drive a Prius. It's not the electric thing it's the no style thing.
I would love to know his reasoning. Just love talking to and stirring up( and pissing off ) someone that is so passionate they try to convince everyone their way is the only way.

Haaaa....the Prius is a 4 banger....good thing your truck did not stall or have a really bad issue or you would have been really embarrassed...lol

I live in Durham Region too...but a bit displaced from NC...I think it was due to the Hurricane that came through NC and picked this chunk of land up and tossed it into Ontario...

Anyway...you know that a PRIUS is like PIOUS but with a prius an ARSE involved...

Nice truck...is that the motor that had the tick tick tick?

Thanks, it sure is. Once I changed the leaky head gasket it went back to purring. :)

Not at all... Ive come across quite a few hybrid drivers that don't like vehicles like that, or any vehicle that doesn't get 40 mpg. When I used to have my diesel dodge, I found much pleasure in making angry prius drivers disappear into a big thick swirling black cloud of unburnt fuel... Mind you, I didn't go around blowing black smoke all the time just for the heck of it, but it sure came in handy in those situations.

p.s. That's a sweet f100...

There are a few of those that get a little high and mighty about that stuff.

And the Raliegh Durham chapel hill is fuuuuuull of yuppies. Great area and great folks there too but I've run across more than a few that run on the snobby/ hippie side.

I'm actually moving to Chapel Hill in the fall. That ought to be interesting as that place is a bit nutty to say the least!

We should meet up; I'd love to check out that chopped Bronco of yours!

Sounds good. I actually won't be driving it this week. No AC and my wife doesn't like to ride that far in it. I'll be heading up there paddling some though. And we can meet up. I'll PM you my email
