We haven't seen this much snow in almost 15 years! They're saying we might get 3-5 inches. :yahoo:

snowing like a mofo in hotlanta, where you at?

You guys need the water in any form...

but don't blame "MAN MADE global warming" for the drought.
Blame unrestricted development for the problems.

People keep moving down there and building new houses to live in
while your state and federal governments don't do diddly squat to increase the infrastructure (read: reservoirs) to support the population growth.

you nailed it!i mean exactly, btw when i bring up mmgw as a reason,i am being sarcastic.i don't for a minute believe in mmgw or the religion springing up around it.i do however believe in energy conservation mainly because of the impact to my wallet.and if the little parcel of land will support a high rise,it's built here,my god the building that goes on here.our roads can't keep up at all.anyway let it snow,i got heat, john wayne on the telly and enough coffee to float a battle ship.

we had about 2-3 inches on thursday,so of cource i ulled the quad out andplayed than went for a ride with my buddy in his truck, hope you had fun and yours lasts longer than ours did

we had 60s here in central PA and thats way above the norm. I found myself doing some bondo work....its a little odd that i have two snowmobiles sittin in the yard with covers on them and no snow!!!!!!. I got to ride them for about a week in dec and that was all. Screw what Gore has to say....the movie was a croc of garbage. Not saying some of it aint true but the movie is just him bitching

About -10* F here today. Same last night, with a nice cold wind. Made the half mile walk between bars fun, especially considering I was wearing a baseball cap (forgot my Kromer at my apartment). My ears were quite frozen when I went inside.

A :hottubfun: would have been nice last night :D

Last monday we got about 16" of snow here, 10 miles away it was over 20".

We call it "global swarming" down here. Every Tom, Dick and Harry, and their brothers and cousins, are moving here. Yep, the infrastructure stays about 20 years behind the population growth. Fun to see some rare snow here today.

Sounds like prime time to grab a tow strap and go make some money :D

Milje,
I was up your was several years ago to some powerhouse way out in the boonies where they found that huge copper nugget (40 tons?). What's the average snowfall up there, 240"? Talking with the guide he said that during the Winter the maintanance men drive their lifted 4x4's with a snowmobile in the back just in case they do get stuck. That's hard core!

Not sure how it is where he's at, but when I went to the University of Edinboro (Edinboro, PA), I was talking with some people that had lived up there for years and said that they remember winters 20+ years ago where the snow had gotten as high as the telephone poles...

I didn't get to see it quite that high...but they measure snow in feet not inches up there...

Oh, yea, they plow the snow once a day up there whether it needs it or not, and they NEVER salt or even throw cinders. After spring arrives they take heavy equipment around and scrape 4" or more of ice off all the roads.
