I parked my truck the night b4 running just fine now it dont wanna run worth a crap when I try I coughs through the breather and the muffler then when it does hit it jumps up to 3500~4000 then falls on its face and if u give it gas to keep it running if u keep the rpms up above 2000 its good but for less then that it sound like its missing on 2 cylinders then dies
Please help I'm new here

Bad gas?
Bad gas has water in it, after filling up the water is mixed in with gas, when it sits overnight the water settles to the bottom of the tank, and fuel pump sucks it up first causing what you describe, back firing and poor running

Not much to go on for other possibilities.
So there were no previous signs of any problems?

Mack1985:

The IAC (Idle Air Controller) on my '98 calved and gave me very similar symptoms. Try disconnecting it and see if your symptoms change.

Without more information, really difficult to pin point.

And if it's cold (engine) and cold weather...you're going to spin bearings if you keep trying to keep it running.

IAC could have failed/frozen...lean mix will make it backfire and then over-rich to attempt to compensate.

OP's location could help diagnose.
