not what I was expecting to see.... :shok:

I've used tow straps in worse shape than that. I normally retire those ones to shrub pulling duty..

LOL...had me going too...snatch...strap...wear...sounds like skimpy bikini briefs to me...

Anyway...afraid that is frayed and needs to be replaced...but I guess it depends on what snatch you are wearing it on...er, what you are holding down...inspectors in Canada would fine you for using one like that to hold a car on a trailer...

Dang it. I got tricked too.

Agreed. I'd run it but it would depend what I was using it for. Maxing it out? I'd find another strap. Better safe than sorry. Not holding down a whole lot of weight? Run the b*tch.

if you're just pulling on it.. I wouldn't worry to much.

if you're snatching on it.... replace it with a bubba rope and don't snatch.let the rope do the work.

Thats one abused snatch

Strap.

Isn't that a Ted Nugent song??? Snatch strap fever....Snatch strap fever

I liked that one.....lol

Got me too....I would use it...on a ...snatch

Sent from the road while ignoring traffic

i keep busting them till they are too short for snatching duty. make a tree saver or something if theres enough good left from there.

wouldnt use it for lifting more then 75 percent of rated as is

i would keep it for now, just use it for light duty. if you can get some old fire hose and cut it in foot long pieces, and run the straps through it. works great to prevent snatch chaffing. sorry i couldnt resist

Hahaha...no strays in my back yard...just a few squirrels...oh, wait...squirrels don't have bucked teeth and a flat tail...dang, there's beaver out there boys!

They would probably fine you if it was new too... recovery straps are not made the same as a ratchet strap.

The 'legal' limit for fray, aka industry standard is that if the fray extends into the strap beyond the thickness of the strap it's to be discarded...

That said, I'd use that strap but keep an eye on it and use it for smaller pulls as Bobby said.
