I'm the second owner, and I've slowly been doing work to it, as time and money allows.
2005 Ford Ranger XLT, Ext cab 2 door, 4x4, 4.0, 4.10 open diff (ford now), 5 speed, Manual locks, manual windows, no PATS (weird to me:icon_confused:), black/grey clotch interior with carpet (for now)

Day one:

New Lights pro-comp 9 inchers, replacing the xmsn extension housing, and essentially rebuilding the entire rear brake system (new drum, shoes, springs, cylinders, and lines from the master cylinder back. Stupid NY rust.)

stayed like this for a while

same, just a really skinny passage into a campsite up near bear slides

essentially the same, just put a tonneau on it

now the trans extension housing I was talking about, I was driving at 70mph in 5th gear, me (170 lbs) a passenger (110 lbs) my recovery gear (80 lbs) and 8 60 lb bales of hay nothing unusual or extraordinary, when i hear loud BOOM and I hear what sounds like a drive shaft dragging, I stopped REAL quick and jumped under the truck to see what the hell happened and saw that my t-case was spun and hanging lower than normal, couldnt see what was causing it, destroyed my front drive shaft and both u-joints in the back, when I finally I got her towed home I found this, never did figure what caused it, and havent had an issue in 10k miles since.

moving on, I was getting tired of my peeling nasty lookin stock wheels so I decided to clean em up as best I could and paint them. went with a satin black.

And I got tried of nearly bald stock sized tires. So I went and got 265/75r16 firestone destination a/ts (for winter, which I think theyre great for)

I had to give her over to my dad for a while, as I'm in the army. He's been doin work on it for me while I'm away, keepin himself busy.
My power steering pump needed replaced so he took to his dads house to do it, and an old friend of ours donated a 2007 grill to me.

and he promptly installed

the procomps dont fit anymore, so i ordered a set of rigid d2 floods, with amber covers. (waiting to install till I get home)

Got a set of 2006+ tails for cheap, nice easy mod for him:D

looks better now. I didnt have any good pics of when I actually did it, but You can see my 5; firestik in these pics. Cbs just kinda layin in the cab right now.

My muffler had developed a very large hole in the bottom ( I mean the bottom of it was just gone) so dad got a flow master 40 si-so installed with it being turned out in front of the back tire

my clutch needed replaced (116000 on the factory one) i tried to do it when I had to do the xmsn extension housing but I couldnt get the trans to seperate from the engine.:annoyed: so he had a shop do it, and was feeling lazy about putting in the hurst shifter i had ordered so he had the shop do it.

I ordered a set of recon led super duty clearance, and Him and my grandpa put em, it was scary (to say the least) to see pics of him drilling and cutting my roof to put me in. at the same time they did 2006+ mirrors too

and thats basically how it sits at the moment, there's a pile of parts waiting for me when I get back. an fx4 lvl 2 axle, rancho rs9000xl shocks, vinyl floor (i hate carpet), a new cb (uniden bearcat 980 ssb), all but a front suspension rebuild, gonna crank the t-bars to level it while im at it, black leather bucket seats, an expo center console, a new front valance (the one on the truck is cracked if you didn't notice.)

and Ill post more as updates come. Thanks for looking!

Finally getting around to updates. Its been crazy lately. I got married, had a kid, went from ny to ks, and ks to ny in a month. any way, time for the truck

RI Dually floods on the outside, and spots in the middle, holy freakin light batman!!!

RI Dually Driving beam on the back, pretty nice for backing up on moonless nights. haven't had the opportunity to use em off road yet.

Used the included wire harnesses and switches, the two by the light switch or for the spots and floods individually. the one by the fog light switch is for the back lights, didn't wanna accidently hit them while Im going down the road.

Finally got my ranchos installed, all 4 of the old shocks were shot to hell.
Out with the old and in with the new!

New sexiness

Ignore all my dirtiness and rustiness the truck has been in upstate NY its whole life, salt takes its toll.
