have an 89 Bronco 2 4wd 2.9 V6 that i recently aquired.seems to idle fine and overall run good but has a slight sputter at low rpms while accelerating. one you get into the pedal good it will quit sputtering and do fine. Hasnt died on me yet, i usually just wind the gears out to keep it from sputtering(sometimes it doesnt even do it). Has a check engine light that comes on from time to time, stays on for 30 seconds, goes away and doesn't come back for a while. The fuel guage doesn't work right either seems like it stays on full and comes down to half a tank and starts working right when it gets to half a tank maybe float? temp guage doesnt seem to work either stays down on C and jumps up 1/8 of the way above C every now and then and jumps right back down. Oil pressure guage works fine most of the time but it stay all the way down sometimes. Any input is more than welcomed, thank you in advance.

So you probably have an EEC IV code, because the light comes on, and you are asking us what to do?? Scan the EEC system first. If nothing shows up for some reason, then run a KOEO test and see what it shows. I'm almost sure you will get a fault.
