Can anyone point me in the right direction to a place to get a replacement latch for my son's sliding rear window? It's for a 2000 Ranger. I found the cheap plastic ones like I use to have however his looks like a bigger hard plastic style latch similar to what my other son's 2007 Ranger has. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Parts stores have them too.

If yours is broken, which I assume it is, then it will probably be riveted in, so will have to be drilled out, then replacement either riveted or security screwed in.

So hit a hardware store and look for window latches, there many styles and methods to lock sliding windows

I don't think I have opened one of those sliders since I opened the first one in 93 and it blew everything to the front of the cab.

However, if yours is broke and can't be locked closed, I would cut a small stick and put in the groove so the window will not open. Then you can relax and find one when you find one to replace yours.

I found mine on Amazon. There are a number of cheap plastic ones with terrible reviews. Look down the list and you will find a metal one. Installs easily and really works well and of good quality. I expect it to last a long time.
