Slave cylinder line clip install

I have a new clutch and flywheel assembly installed on my 87 ranger. I messed with the clip for hours. I can slide it into the hole that retains the hose but I am not sure what retains the clip. It snaps around the bleeder screw and looks like it will hold it but I am not sure if this is where it is supposed to go.
