Anyone that's ever performed the task of connecting the fluid line to the slave cylinder on the 87 style truck knows what a PITA it is. It's a hard preformed line with no give and the nipple has to go in the tiny hole just right so you can get the pin in. The newer style has the quick disconnect but the slave cylinder connection (the line input and the bleeder valve) are spread apart and won't fit in my current FM 145 bellhousing.

Does anyone know if the newer style slave will work with my trans? Has anyone cut a larger hole in the bellhousing to accept the newer style slave cylinder? If I could fab my bellhousing it would be worth replacing the complete system (master, line, slave) to use that quick disconnect.
