My 95 has been shifting tough and sometimes will not go into gear. I took it to a shop and the said it was the slave cylinder for sure. Quoted me $575 for new slave and $750 for clutch and slave. So im obviously going to do it myself, i was looking at the centerforce for a clutch. Is it worth going with a better clutch while i have got it apart or (with a stock motor and 33s,) is it not worth it?? (I do some towing)

clutch is a clutch the factory size 8 inch will act the same as any other one. if you decide to upgrade to the 10 inch (which im considering if i can find a damn tranny...) the clutch will be smoother and a lil grabbier, im shooting for 300hp so any beefing will be a plus for me. if you are offroading etc you may like the way it feels as larger clutches hold up better for loading etc.

All OE replacement clutches for my 4.0 are 10". So would i have to do anything special to use the Centerforce?

Your truck has a 10" clutch from the factory (the 2.9's had the 8" clutch).

You will not need a new flywheel, but you should however get your flywheel resurfaced.

The Center Force has more holding power than a stock clutch. There is NO modifications needed to install the Center Force.

Thanks, im going to go with the Centerforce. Might aswell while its apart. Thanks again.
