Skyjacker suspension lift QUESTIONS.

I will soon be ordering the ( 6 inch suspension lift ) but when I do a search on skykackers web site there SEEMS to be a gazillion choices, can somebody point me out the exact link/product numbers that i need for my COMPLETE 6 INCH SUSPENSION LIFT?

I want to print it out and take it with me to the 4x4 specialty shop in my area so they can order it for me and install it.

Here is a link to all the choices for my year truck, by the way I have the ( 1996 super cab with the 4.0 and it happens to be a STX )

Also if my assumptions are correct if will NOT get any more ground clearance from the bottom of my differentials to the ground by installing this kit CORRECT?? So my question is if I buy 32 inch tires to replace my 31's wont that get me an extra 1 inch of ground clearance, also if I buy 16 inch rims to replace my 15 inch rims wont that ALSO get me an extra 1 inch of ground clearance from the bottom of my differentials to the ground?

I hope this is making sense. Thanks

I did a bit more searching and I am wondering if this is EXACTLY what I need to print out so they can order it??? ( Part Number 236RHKS-A )

WELL SHIT, now I found this kit ( with shocks ) I really want to buy the COMPLETE package, basically everything I need from skyjacker at one time, except the 1 piece drive shaft which is another issue.

If you increase your tire size from 31" to 32" you will gain approximately 1/2" of ground clearance under your differentials. Increasing the size of the rims will make no difference.

Can't offer any help on the lift unfortunatly.

Thanks for the info on ground clearance!! I have figured out what the top of the line kit is WITH shocks, Turns out skyjacker has a new on line SHOP/STORE were you can buy the lift kit and they will ship it to your house and then you can bring it to the 4x4 shop of your choice.

Here is EXACTLY what I am buying and having shipped to my house, There will also be the steering stabilizer checked when I am ready to ad it to my cart and check out. It is an extra $66.99

save your money. dont buy a steering stabilizer they are junk. instead invest in an extreme drop pitman arm, not the one that comes with the kit as it isnt long enough to correct the steering angles. youll be alot better off IMO

I went with the ntw national tire wheel and got my complete kit 6 inch for the 94 for $499 shipped only problem is one part is on back order and it's a skyjacker It's under there lift special

Why would they include it in the kit it it does not work properly?????????

Skyjacker is the industry standard for my gen truck.

if you get a 6" lift you can fit way bigger than 32s. the bigger the tire the more clearance. and if i was you i would check out the store here on trs. i bought all my rear end parts on here and it was the cheapest place i could find. jim did all the work for looking for the best kit for your truck. the store here sells pretty much the perfect stuff you need.

It works ok, but the bigger arm is better.

Skyjacker makes good shit and it is the exact same kit for my gen truck, dana 35 ttb. The pitman arm just not long enough to do the job, granted it will work but the extreme arm would be much better and keep the steering angles in perfect line with the axle. its been covered on this site countless times. You should see if they will ship the kit with the longer arm and pay the difference.

I am going to call skyjacker tomorrow and ask some questions about the longer arm!! Thanks for the advice!!!:icon_thumby:

So I DON'T need the steering stabilizers AT ALL as long as I get the extreme drop arm?

correct. no steering stabilizer is needed.
