For those that have installed skyjacker's 4" class2 kit with new leaf springs on a '97.....did you leave the stock blocks in?

I left mine in, and I've got about 6 1/2" of lift now...only wanted 4".

Just take the block out and that'll give you 4".

+1, thats the kit i fist did, you have to remove the block for 4". If later you want 6 just get new coils and put the block back in.

Well....after doing some measuring, I'm gonna have to remove the blocks in order to get the truck out of the garage anyhow. Thanks for the quick replies.

Is it possible you got 6" lift rear leafs?

I put 4" SJ leafs on my Ranger (pt# FR34) and they initially gave me about 4.5" lift WITH the stock block in. They've settled about 1" lower over about 8 years.

Maybe, but when I checked the part numbers I'm pretty sure they were for the 4" kit. Now that you've said that though....I'll check again tomorrow.

Damn bumpstops! I think I'm going to have to cut them off the frame.
