Ok so this if my first ranger so I have a few questions. I have an 85 ford ranger 4x4 with a 6" skyjacker lift and 33. I came across a guy that was selling a 8" kit that included just the coils leaf springs blocks and u bolts. Does anyone know if skyjacker sells just the brackets to drop everything down in the front? This brings me to my next ? The front passanger side axle broke and the rear end doesn't seem in to good of shape, I am wanting some imput about the Dana 35 front and the 8.8 in the rear. I have seen with some kits the front end when compressed will hit the drop bracket on the larger Dana 35. Is this true with the skyjacker kit? If so any info on this would help. Like I said I'm new to the whole ranger thing so take it easy on me, thanks

You don't have to worry about the d35 hitting the brackets of the skyjacker kit, that only happens with the cheaper lift kits that use a drop plate instead of a full replacement bracket for the passenger side beam.

yes skyjacker sells just the lift brackets, you can get them from the TRS store as well

If you go for the 8" coils I would be interested in your 6" ones.:D

Ok so I called skyJacker and got the part numbers for the center hinge drop brackets and the radius arm drop brackets then called 4 wheel parts and holy crap. The price for the center hinge bracket is $429 and the radius arm bracket is $240. I was thinking like $400 maybe 5 for everything at most, o well. As far as the steering goes what's the best option? I looked at the superlift steering correction an it only works for the 6" and under kits. I will be selling the old lift if anyone might be interested but it will probably be after Christmas. Thanks for all the info

8" of actual suspension lift is far too much lift to be able to properly correct the steering issues properly without spending big bucks and going full custom with the steering.

I'm not a fan of going that high. The axles are a little narrow and the CG is way to high with that much li"ft. It will roll. Mine is a 6" lift with a 3" body lift. This is what can happen.

Keep your 6" kit, but get the Skyjacker pt# FA600 pitman arm for it. Then swap your D35 and 8.8" in.
Alternatively you could get the Superlift steering kit, but you will have to modify it some for it to work properly on your 6" lift.

If you still need more lift for whatever reason, you can get a 2" body lift for it.
