I'm new to the Ranger family and I just bought my 2011 Ranger XL regular cab and it looks bigger or at least it looks normal in pictures but in person she really looks small ... dare I say tiny. I wanna be proud of my Ranger so I hope I can come up with mods to make her look bigger, stronger & cooler.

@Nero 1
Just remeasure the dimensions in centimeters, it will sound bigger in casual conversations ..)

Yup, like a Cessna 150. - Minitruck'in yall!
The new Rangers are considered "midsize".

With some 11.5 x 31 x 15 tires/wheels, I believe will show some sidewall & draw in the on lookers.

All the other add ons can wait while you get the "big wheels roll'in". Mov'in on!

There is a whole lot of competition these days with the new breed of Bronco, Raptor, & Ranger based off-road looking vehicles. Stick with the OEM look I would recommend & try to keep those meats under the fenders. Love that blue all day long. Enjoy & thanks for the pics. In & out that is one beautiful truck.

Welcome!

I have a BNIB 1” lift kit that would help with the "enhancement".. left over from when I had my 2010.

Spacers for the front coils, camber bolts, and longer shackles for the rear. Yours for the cost of shipping.

welcome! you posted in the minitruck section so i hope you are not trying to lift it.

lower it and make it able to turn like a sports car and it will be fun more than just on the weekend occasionally. most people are on the pavement more than offroad so they would be better served making their vehicle handle better.

Thanks, good advice. Yes, I had to chase down this Blue Ranger after another really awesome Blue whale got away and I was on a mission to find another one for myself. The other one had all the options with the 4 door cab etc, etc... (I'm trying to forget about it) but this one was small & super clean with only 50K miles so I had to grab it. I will think about those wheels and other mods I can do. Thanks!

Thanks I just might consider that, looking at some wheels first ... so I will let you know.

I have some rims & tires from a my past jeep, 275 / 40 R20 I was wondering if I can put them on without lifting it all using the factory hgt, we'll see.

That's a super clean truck brother. Great find with that low of miles.
I would say depending on your plans for using it. You could go multiple ways with it. If ot was gonna spend most it life on pavement then go performance, with a slight drop and some nice tires. P.S. I love the black wheels on it. If you are looking to take it down dirt roads camping and such maybe just a wider more aggressive tire with a level kit or so. Just be aware if you tow with it. It's gonna look squatted with a trailer after you level it. Really everyone uses their trucks in different ways and builds them to suit their needs. But again that's a super clean Ranger. I love it just how it sits. But there are some really nice builds the same model.as yours in here. Good luck and great find. Can't wait to see what you do with it

Nice clean looking truck. Before sticking big tall tires on it consider what it will do to your effective final drive ratio, it'll make the truck feel doggy unless you put lower(higher numerical) gears in it.
Also stop calling it "she" and it will give you less trouble....

Yeah, I really don't think I will be be putting tall tires on this guy (Lol, yeah I don't think it feels like a girl ... but what do I know, haha). I might keep it low with with slightly bigger tires & rims. I want to see what kind of stance it will have, but if I have to give it a 1 inch or a 2 inch lift I will, but for now I will keep him grounded.

I would not put tall tires on a Ranger as they are not powerful engines (especially the 4 banger) and the tires will slow up acceleration. As far as bigger rims. The 16's might be ok. The stock size is 225/70/15 so 16's would be 235/60/16. The problem is that the Ranger already has a harsh ride when equipped with fresh shocks and bushings. I can't see going with a shorter sidewall. The suspension on a Ranger is pretty primitive. The stock tire size makes it bearable. These trucks are not sporty in any way. They are economical, practical workhorses which can provide durability and good economy. I used to be a Miata owner. Most of my friends went up a rim size and ruined the comfort and acceleration on those old 1.6 liter engines. The Ranger is not the kind of car which does well with big rims. as far as the lift kits. That might be a different story, but I've never understood lifts on any car. Handling will be worse as will safety. Generally, you want to be as close to the ground as possible for safety and handling. That's pure physics. If you want to modify a Ranger, consider a spray in bed liner. Consider a better stereo. Consider aftermarket seats, and an easy repair is to swap out the bushings in a manual transmission shifter if you have one. It's a half hour job and you'll feel a big difference.

Your view of how a truck is used seems to be rather limited. For your purposes, your comments as listed above are fine. But, as I said, that is a limited view. A truck equipped as you recommend can't go to the places some of us call fun and can't do the things that some of us enjoy. Remember. Different strokes for different folks. Lift kits and tall tires are VERY useful and not inherently dangerous to a skilled driver.
