Sitting in drivers seat kills truck..

Ive tried jumping on the bumper rocking the truck back and forward.. All the wiring under the carpet looks stock(still wrapped and taped).. Im starting to lean towards the plug/wires running to and from it, Even tho ive shaken pulled and beat on the plug and it didn't cut out..Thats only thing it can be that I seen when carpet was up that the drivers seat could affect..

Look for a spot where the seat bracket was leaning on/pinching the harness. If you find it, put a board on that spot and stand on it when the truck is running. If you do not see any indication that the wires were being pinched, then it is likely no the seat.

Any chance you are pulling down on the steering wheel when you get in? If so, a short or lose connection in the column could be your culprit.

Just for giggles, have you jumped in and sat on the floor where the seat goes - does it stay running? No idea why this would matter...:dunno:

Sound like fun!

I agree with RonD - sounds like someone has installed a "Kill" switch to prevent theft. If so it would be a good thing to keep or a simple thing to eliminate.

Good Luck
