coming from my left front wheel area when coming to a stop or slowing down and also when turning the wheel LEFT at slow speeds.

I can speed up to like 30 mph then get on the breaks and usually around 5 to 10 mph I will hear it and feel it in the floor board, I can then speed up and do the same thing again and it will happen again just like before.

What say you? THANKS!!!!

BTW, I looked under the front end and do not see anything OBVIOUS at all that could be the culprit.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I noticed that my front tires are wearing / cupping, on the inside of each tire, identical on each side.

I have never had an issue with abnormal wear on my front tires until recently. Besides the obvious assumption of needing an alignment, what could be causing this CUPPING of the inside tires along with the CLICK/POP sound.

check your u joints

I will look at u-joints tomorrow in the light, BUT it seems to be coming from the left front tire area and unless im in 4 wheel drive a u-joint shouldn't be moving??

i had one of mine make noise even when i was out of 4wd. :icon_confused: just something to look at, it could be a toasted wheel bearing thats falling apart. had one do that too:icon_confused:

Not sure about the pop, but check your ball joints. that could cause the cupping of the tires.

As said, wheel bearings could cause it too, but I think you would have noticed some handling issues if the bearings were that out of whack.

Sounds like its time to re-greese those hubs. It could be a wheel bearing, ball cup, stuck hub, or u-joint. Either way, its best to tear into it to find the problem.

yup pull the wheel off & take a gander.
check your strut could be broke!
could be a tie rod that the bushing is gone! ( But with this there will be shacking of the vehile)(but it willl take sometime befor you really know that is that)
had a jeep shook little bit 3 months later get up to 30 mph then it felt like the wheel was coming off!
:icon_thumby: hope you figure it out & doesnt run you an arm & leg to replace

Also check the radius arm bushings. Just remembered a customers Explorer that had the radius arm bushings gone and it would make a popping noise everytime it came to a stop.
