Sloppy title, I know, but I think I found an easy way for one person to move the bed back far enough to change the fuel pump. After everything is disconnected I was able to raise the rear of the bed enough to shove some pieces of wood underneath. When it's raised about a foot, take a 4" wood fence post and slide it between the bed and the frame at the rear axle hump. Then remove the wood at the rear. The bed can be rolled back 2 1/2', enough to clear the fuel pump. It only took me 45 min. to replace the pump this way.
Unfortunately, when I was done I noticed the black plastic fuel line shield lying in the bed, I guess I'll be pulling the bed again, soon. Would it hurt to drive it temporarily without this protective ring?
