hello i want to swap a single cab short bed on a extended cab frame
with the end result i would like to have a single cab long bed on a extended cab short bed frame
i want to know if the frame sizes will work or what problems i will have thanks

What????

let me make sure that I am interpreting this right. Regular cab + long bed + extended frame

So what exactly would be the advantage of that over putting it on a regular cab long bed frame?

First off Extended cabs have the longest wheelbase. Overall length may only be about 2" longer than the regular/long trucks, but the wheel base is about 8" longer on the extended cabs. If you position the long bed over the wheels on the extended cab frame you will be left with at least an 8" gap between the bed and frame, and be longer than an extended cab truck. If you position the bed against the cab like it should be, then tires will be behind the wheel wells.

the wheel wells on your bed won't line up, you'll have a lot of body work in store for you if you modify the bed to work.

Also, your rearmost body mounts for the cab will line up with thin air. You will also have a significant gap between the rear of the cab and the rise in the frame where it comes up to meet the bed.
