got everything ready for my sas. i was just wondering, if i kept my new coil buckets at the stock height for the ranger, how much lift would i get from my early bronco 5.5" coils?

I didn't measure so I cant give an exact figure but I would guesstimate 8". It's enough that I can stuff my 36s with only minor fender trimming on the backside of the front fender.

What size tires you gonna run?

Guess that would also depend on which buckets you're gonna run cuz they are different heights.

i had been looking through your thread, just wasnt sure about the height of your buckets. im using f150 buckets but keeping them at the stock ranger height probably.
i may have a good lead on 38.5s which ill run until they wear out then ill step to 36s like youre running

and also since yours will be similar to mine, what did you do about your front driveshaft being too short? did you lengthen it, buy a new one to specs, or find a stock from another vehicle?

The JD buckets are 7.5" from frame to where the coil sits.

I'd start small and work your way up in tire size. You'll have to cut quite a bit to fit the 38s then if you go down to 36s it won't look right. Not to mention the 44 will need shafts & joints to run them.

The front shaft will need to be shortened by about 2" but will bolt up using the same u-joint. If you're putting a 9" in the rear you will need to lengthen the shaft about 3" and use a 1310/1330 conversion joint.

alright thanks man! straightforward answers, i like that haha

Just a fyi on my swap with the Duff parts the stock font driveshaft fit fine. Didnt have to get it shortened. Did have to lengthen the rear though.

alright thanks guys. looks like this wont be able to be a weekend swap like i had planned. or how much is the driveshaft on an ext cab ranger do you know? ive got a reg cab and standard bed.
