i was going to lift my 88 ranger 5 speed 2wd but some of my buddies think a prerunner with long arms and the whole nine yards would be better figuring its a 2wd. what is yall's opinion.

So like.... What are you gonna use it for?

8" body lift with 38's FTW.

Just kidding man. Long arm travel is pretty damn expensive. Is this your daily driver? If it was your secondary rig, then go for it if you can afford it. I love the whole pre-runner idea. I think it just depends on how you actually use it. I personally wouldn't do that to my DD, because i know I would break sh!t all the time.

If your planning to go with control arms and you have i-beams it gets exspensive, but if you get bent beams and some coil overs you can still do it fairly cheap and get good results....at least i did.good luck

if its not ur daily driver lincoln lock the back a put a bit of a lift on it
once you learn to drive it youll be able to keep up with open/open 4x4s most of the time
