Silverado coils?

I read somewhere that you can use coil springs from a 99-06 silverado 1500 to lift the front of a ranger about 2.5". How does it work? Anyone done it here?
 
are you talking about using the stock coils from the chevy silverados
if there the same circumference you probably could but i dont know why you would unless you could get them cheaper than buying coil springs for rangers and i dont know why they would really be any different to install

I would think you'd have to get the front end aligned--or you coud do it urself using info in the Technical Forum (i did after dropping my '89 XLT 3"):headbang:

you will it your camber (which is up and down i believe) will be off depending on how much longer the springs are which will cause your alignment to be off and your tires will wear down impromperly
