I pulled the motor out of my Bronco over the weekend and now am trying to get it parted out. I have the intake manifold sold already but the previous owner "rebuilt" the motor and used the normal cork gasket and the silicone stuff to seal everything up. My question though is how the hell do you strip the silicone to be able to pull the intake off?

"Normal" silicone will rub off with finger friction. Brake cleaner usually breaks down silicone based sealants.

Scrape off the cork, then use parts cleaner solvent or spray brake cleaner.
