hey guys ive got a 1990 sierra 1500 2wd. for the last 3 weeks my rear running lights havent been coming on with either my parking lights or my headlights :icon_confused: then last night i jumped in the truck and flipped the headlight switch and now my headlights wont turn on and the only thing that comes on are the front parking lights. first i checked the front and rear grounds, theyre both fine. the wires right at each light are fine. i pulled the 4 wire connector from the back of the switch and jumped each wire in turn, the headlights never turned on but the front runners did. fuses are fine.... anyone have any ideas? im lost. tommorow im gonna follow all the wires and check for breaks.

if all else fails i will wire the lights to a toggle. can i run headlights/taillights/parking lights all on one toggle? should i put a fuse inline somewhere? and how big of a fuse?

thanks for any help in advice

have you tried a new headlight switch. I would start there before cutting into the factory wiring. There are several contacts in the switch and they get boogerd up eaisly from dust and what not
