he just broke them in and hes not sure weather they are 10's or 12's but he knows they are 2 duel subs with a duel 600 watt amp. he's askin $250 is it worth it.(i doubt it is) and they shake the rearview mirror :icon_hornsup:

try for $100, he will say no, and when he does you say "well all I got is 175 on me"

Depends on what you listen to.... personally I detest a bandpass enclosure because its all boom and rattle. For rap it might be okay, but if you like to feel the kick of the subs and want a cripser sound, sealed is waaaaay better. I only spent 250 for a 12" inifinity in a sealed box and a 760w pioneer NEW so I think he's asking a bit much. A friend of mine had the same setup as you're looking at and I guess he liked it so to each their own...

not worth it.

dual's really low end stuff. like as low as it gets. Plus, its a huge risk buying used audio equipment. He says its just broken in, but really you dont know if it was set up properly and if theres unknown damage to it. save your money and buy some new brand name stuff.

Decent speakers will shake the rear view mirror. just putting it out there

if you know what your doing and looking at buying used is fine. I highly discourage gettin Dual brand anything. there SUPER low end. You can browse your local craigslist for better than that and cheaper. However if you post up a budget of what your wanting to spend im sure me and a few others who kno what were doing can help you out on your best options. Be sure to include if your budget is to include wires and other installation goodies.

And the statement about bout bandpasses being for rap only is COMPLETELY wrong. Bandpass boxes (if designed and built right) can be very efficient boxes. Granted any ported box is more towards being loud, however sealed boxes arent any more punchy or better to "fell" the subwoofer is illiterate. sealed boxes are geared more to sound quality and for people that have a small amount of space. perfect example is the JL W7 (figured this was a good example as it is a mainstream brand). You can purchase those subs with the factory built HO Box. this being a High output box. This box is a 6th order bandpass. Those subs were meant more for sound quality and look what the FACTORY recommends for the sub....a bandpass box.

thanks allot juys i wont buy thease how bout 2 10im polks they were instaled by a local shop that does steros in cars they are in my friends ranger? i would love to buy new but i dont want new i will upgrade in a year or to i cant afford it right now

Polk is a better brand, plus if it was installed by a shop that means it was probably done right. as long as your friend didnt mess around with the gain and clip the hell out of the subs it should be good to go

2 12'' mtx jackhammer subs with a 1000watt amp he wants to include thease with money for my quad but i have no idea what there worth? thanks again

i sure wouldnt trade, that 1000w amp is probably some cheap one that will only put out 400w rms if that. Not sure how much money he was planning on adding but mtx is nothing like it used to be, they really dont make anything worth mentioning and havent for a while.

and about the dual subs...you could get them new cheaper. it used to be 179.99 at best buy with the amp a while ago and probably has come down since.

yup not worth it, not sure what you have for a quad and how much hes adding but unless hes only asking 100-150 off what your looking to get for your quad i wouldnt do it.

how good is infinity. excuse the stupidness i am learning
