Yeah go ahead and make fun of me for posting this...

But i had some 100% cotton western shirts that were literally brand new and ended up in the dryer and shrunk to about the size that would fit richard simmons.

If anyone else is in that boat, do what it says in the link...i did it and it worked perfect, saved my 150 bucks worth of shirts...

Might have to see what can be done about my jeans, when I worked maintenance, I got to keep my uniforms. The uniform company managed to shrink most of the jeans from a 36 waist to a 30 waist. I wear 32… and have since high school

I'm a 28W 32L..some of my pants could use shrinking....belts are my friend.

.... I'm not sure if you meet the federal minimum weight to not have a car seat by those figures 🤔

Good thing you don't live in FL, one hurricane and "poof", "where did he gooooo?!"

I always thought it was the dryer that shrunk clothes, but it has been the refrigerater all along

The original post is why I shy away from 100% cotton clothing. If not given a choice, I get them big to account for the shrinkage.

I remember reading about a guy that wore new blue jeans swimming, must have been getting drunk or something and gone to sleep, and never woke up, I think it cut off his circulation

What about polyester disco suits?

Most likely just bad booze + stupidity that killed him & not the shrunken jeans!

I didnt realize they would shrink. It never crossed my mind. Thats why i was pissed lol

I wash everything in cold water and dry on low heat or line dry. Cured my problem of clothes shrinking.

That does help a lot. Somethings still shrink some. Seems like the 100% cotton items are the main culprits.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you can buy "pre-shrunk" cotton shirts.
