So I've just recently gotten into ATVs and have been tryin to mod my ride for both looks and function. The only things I've done is a gun rack and a back seat bag. Tryin to find a winch, and possibly a set of wheels and tires. Walmart has a masterlock winch for 70 bucks, but I don't know how reliable it'd be. i'd kinda like to see what everyone else has to kind of get some Ideas.

That looks really good,... and expensive lol I'd love to get a racer someday. I've thought about doin a couple minor performance mods to mine. I've read a bunch of good things online about muzzy exhausts, so that'll probably be next.

Here is mine. Its a 02 Yamaha Craptor. Little of this and a little of that.

if your looking for some good trail/mud tires, look into the itp mudlites. they're 6 ply radial mud tires that ride good on trails. theyre on the back of my go kart. as long as i have the ground clearance, i have traction. Also they're really lightweight for their size.

i would post up one of my 96 trx300ex, but i kinda crashed it so its in peices and out of comission till i get some money:annoyed:

I own the mother of all Polaris ATV's (quite literally), 1996 Polaris Sportsman 400cc with 4wd on demand, D/C outlet, plow setup, racks, double size tires, tow-package (can tow my F150 in park across the yard), overdrive, high beams, front-end struts, emergency pull-start, and a brush guard. Picked it up 3 years ago from a dealership Used for $800. Can hit 55 in it, then the limit-device keeps it from going any higher for safety reasons. It has over 2000 miles on it already! Its also chain driven in front and back. I change the oil every month, and never keep the gas tank below 1/10. It also has removable stock mud-blocks. Haven't seen another person with one yet, but this one is fun as heck! Sounds odd for an ATV when it runs, but DAMN is it fun! My gf loves it too, she doesn't like driving it, but loves riding on it.

^ exact one my Gf's family uses around their property, they are a tough piece of machinery.

Damn straight, they don't die, the electrical is questionable though =P
We have taken it back for a new cylinoid, battery, suspension, engine tune up, etc. At least 3 trips into the shop in the last year, and about 12 since we have had it. The engine has never had an issue though, and the body is still solid, little to no rust too.

Its quite impressive for steel and such a large ATV. This thing weighs an easy 700lbs if not more. 0-55 in about 8 seconds.

Could you get me an image of it? I have not seen another one.

They really dont ride bad except on pavement lol.
About $1200 for the wheels and tires I believe,I wouldnt spend it unless you really wanted to go deep.
Last time he stuck it took 3 trucks down with it,took a Back Hoe and 300 feet of cable to get them out.

Some good lookin quads on here. Dumb question, but any reccomendations on what to wash/wax the plastic with? I don't want it sittin in my garage caked with mud, and want it pretty when I decide to ride up and down the street
