hello, I am considering on purchacing the Skyjacker leveling kit for my 1995 Ranger 4x4 ext. cab. and i wanted to see the kit on a truck before i purchace it. As you all know the ext. cabs are heavier and my front end is as low as my girlfriends dads truck and i want it to be higher!!!

I know im going to need a front end alignment after i put it in because of the camber issues with these damn I-beams!!

I installed the skyjacker leveling kit this past weekend (132X). Upfront I can tell you it does make a big difference. I can take a couple of pics and upload them by tomorrow.

You WILL need a camber kit, which I haven't purchased yet, so you will be able to see how bad camber gets with the kit in place.

Now, I installed the NAPA Bushings (P/N NCP2643950) last week and that corrected my positive camber problem. This past weekend I took the truck to a rock climbing trip and after the springs settled, now what I have is negative camber and toe misalignment. I think this actually worked in my favor since now I can go and spend my money on alignmnent knowing that it won't get screwed by coil springs settling. Another thing is that you can observe what you will get on lift after the coil springs have settled down...

Anyways, sorry for the delay! I hope these pics help you out.

so i should wait until AFTER the springs settle to fix the alignment or should i fix it right away...this truck is my daily driver...how bad is the camber after the springs are put in without touching the alignment??

ive heard that sometimes you dont need one if your "careful" whats that supposed to mean??

where do those camber adjusters go...near the balljoints?? how do you intstall them??

sorry for all the questions guys!!:)

that were the camber bushings are.

to remove/replace them, there is a snap ring on the upper BJ stud,, and a pinch bolt to losen on the beam end that hold the bushing in., and if you live in the rust belt proably a few cuss words too.

QUOTE:"What happened to crank windows, stick shift, and manual locks with a vinyl seat and rubber floors? The last REAL trucks, in my opinion were built back in the late 70's, when dashes were steel, Axles were solid, and transmissions got shifted by hand." HELL YA!!

i second that

Hey Critter, Truck is an on-going Project? If not, driving with no steering and (at least) no front brakes must be a real challenge lol....

powder-coated radius arms and TTB look nice, though.... what else are you putting in there?
