My credo
If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
I went outside @ 0918 to shovel snow. I shoveled my out to the cars and shoveled in between the cars so my uncle could pick up the kids.

I used the minivan to pack down the snow in the driveway. We got about a foot last night ontop of the 6" that was already there because 6" is not enough to make me want to clear the walk. I finished at 1015 (spent about 20 min talking to my neighbor) and came back inside.

I just looked out side and it is snowing like somebody is shaking a salt shaker and there is now 10" of fresh snow where I just shoveled .......

I hate snow and i think that you guys that like snow are deranged.

ROFLOL!

I have a love/hate thing with it.... between the week before Thanksgiving and through the end of the year I'd like to see one fresh inch a day and it could melt off some on Sundays. Aside from that, the only time I want to see it is when I go snow wheeling... and I want a good 2' for that.

I should transcribe the one old joke I have about snow in the winter and post it up...

i need to shovel some snow, but when i got home from work last night, it was -23 !!!
this morning at 10:30 it was up to -12 !! shoveling can wait.

yeah I agree .......... at -10 My Land Cruiser would not start ...... that was my excuse for staying home........ the reason is after I got out of the army i decided I would never again work outside when it was that cold........

Finally got a plow on a lawn tractor and of course, had to order the chains which will be in some time next week... and we're supposed to get 3-8" of this white stuff every day for the next 9 or 10.... fun...

Oh, and it's 17* here right now... Global warming my arse...

When I worked at the ski hill, I always had city slickers come up to me as I was shoveling snow and say how wonderful it all is. I'd ask (somewhat jokingly) if they wanted to shovel at my house, I never had anyone say yes.

i like snow but I just saw the first white Christmas here in 20 years, and only the tenth one here since 1867.

It's also the first time I've seen snow still sticking around more than a day or two after it fell. Going on 9 days now and its still on the grass.

My main problem is the local governments that are in no way prepared to deal with it, so even the main roads are still covered 3-4 days afterward.

We had snow last year.

It's colder this year and we still haven't had any...

Someone give me some snow!

Isn't "cold" in the Carolina's about 40? You guys get 1/2" of snow & you're shut down for a week! :icon_twisted: Wimps! :thefinger:

Keep in mind, this is coming from a guy in New Hampshire where three inches is considared a "dusting." I don't get excited unless it's at least 6".

Same. It's -23* C here right now, snowing and we've only got aa foot-an-a-half which is really low.

Ok. I'm deranged. I'm a snowboarder/snowmobile rider.

Come work with me in a pipeline engine room for a day in the summer and you will learn to love winter.

And yes I hate shoveling snow too. My house has the front to the North. If you don't shovel it before the wife drives on it, it turns to ice and stays all winter. I hate busting my @ss scraping off the ice or worse yet falling on my @ss because I just slipped on it!

I'd be more than happy to take some of that snow off your hands. We have got a whopping grand total of about 2" here in Dearborn so far this winter. :annoyed:

show up with a dump truck and I will fire up the Michigan and load you up.....

Actually Mr. Wiseguy, it's been down in the 20's here lately.

Last year we had quite a bit of snow and everything was shut down for a week. Living in this part of the country we aren't equiped well for winters.

I like to compare our winter vehicle fleet to Canada's Army. It's there, but not very useful. :icon_thumby::icon_rofl:

Hey JAY, I was raised in Dearborn! Vassar n Carlysle! Not sure if I spelled the Carlysle right though haha!! Grandfather lived on Bennett. Im still in the downriver area if ya ever need a hand or a heated garage to do something in!!
