Thanx to MasonDaniel7 here on the forum! I alerted my son to the 99 4'oh in KS that was posted on the for sale on ebay section. My son picked up the rust free truck for $5001. Super clean, solid cab no rear doors to rattle), 8.8 rear diff, 4.10s n LSD! The y pipe has no cats, just the intermediate pipe (the truck must have been built in early 99 bc 98 y pipes were catless, but 99s had cats). The VIN is an X code too:) Im a bit jelly that my son got the truck n I didnt...

We determined ol Mason is a bot of some sort years ago.

Only thing ever posted is ads of Rangers... so we let it be.

Good bots are hard to find.
Good afFORDable rangers are even harder.

This bot worked out for me, fortunately.

Description of the truck:

1999 Ford Ranger
Downsizing here so selling this 4WD 1999 Ford Ranger XLT. Has a 4.0 L engine. I get about 300 miles to a tank of gas. Kept up on the maint fairly well (have a folder of some of the things that have been accomplished) and it runs great , but I have been chasing some causes for the engine light which now I have under control. Replaced engine gaskets down to the fuel rail and intake. Replaced both O2 sensors. Had another diagnostic and looks like it needs an additive in the fuel to help clean the cat. converter. Other then that ,I have no problems with it operating or driving. Has 2 jump seats in the back (with seat belts). Still appealing to the eye (and compliments). No corrosion up in the wheel wells as pictured. Thanks for looking here and if any questions , just ask. Been adding more pics and such. Just a heads up , I do have this posted another place so if this disappears it will be because it sold in the neighborhood (that is unless this has bids of course).”

I ran a test pipe in place of the cat pipe. The truck falls on its face and stutters when passing gear hits. Plugs n wires were replaced in feb of 23. I cleaned the throttle body n changed the throttle position sensor. Air filter got changed too. The truck runs super smooth n has no noises or quirks. Any ideas? Gump, you always have a wealth of knowledge…

Love this gem!

Thanx Robbie! I'm just upset that it isn't mine! I cosigned for my 18 yo son so he can build some credit history.
